We Accept Love We Think We Deserve

Dear Friend,

Maybe you're wondering why someone like me made a blog like this. I am not sure why I did but it felt like it was something I needed to do. I will go by the name Charlie. I do not wish to show my identity. This is a place for you to roam freely without judgment. I will listen and care for you like you have most likely listened and cared for me. If you feel like you have nowhere else to go you can come here. Don't be surprised if I write in your ask box a simple hello, a good morning or goodnight. I will do it often. Sometimes I get sad, too. You might even hear some of my ramblings.. Please believe things are good with me, and even when they're not, they will be soon enough.

Love Always,

Charlie.

I met a boy who I instantly fell for. He seemed perfect, but his fault was his addiction to Xanax. I was spending an evening with him when he overdosed at a party. We had only known each other for about 3 weeks, but I went with him to the hospital and sat by his bed all night, over 10 hours. Afterwards, he distanced himself from me. I felt confused until he told me he just couldn't bring me into his messed up life. How can I convince him I want to be there for him, and help him get through this?

Dear friend,

I want you to know that I think you are a great friend and very very loyal. People often say that when they’re scared of getting close to people. I can’t count on how many times I said that to someone who tried to help me. I would just let him know that you don’t care that he’s messed up, you want to be there for him. And simply just do that. Be there for him. If he pushes you away dont give up on him. Just let him know that you WANT to be there for him. Does that make sense?

Love always,

Charlie
